Vukani Ubuntu (VU) is a non-profit organisation empowering disadvantaged communities in South Africa since 1999. “From dust to gold”: VU established 8 community-development projects in Jewellery Design & Manufacturing- Mineral Beneficiation
VU adresses a need for:
◊ Skills-Development by a unique practical and theoretical training
◊ Poverty-Alleviation through leadership and Job-placement
◊ SMME Development through enabling environment and mentoring
The VU’s projects first stage of training has given 200 young black South Africans new opportunities, most of them are now employed. The story of Eulalia is an example in that perspective. In the next stage starting in 2007, Vukani Ubuntu wants to ensure a sustainable development through job-creation and entrepreneurship. This stage of the project can only succeed through distribution agreements which give them a route to market. Only if customers buy what they produce, will they be able to produce.
Our support is critical to make this commercially viable.

Mounier Bouvard is a family institution which was founded in 1930 in Casablanca, Morocco. From father to son, they create jewels of the highest quality with passion and all their pieces are unique. They are recognised all through Morocco as Masters of Art and maintain a superb savoir-faire.
They aspire to give you the best: a perfect jewel with an extraordinary elegance. They represent the marriage of technique and aesthetics. All their jewels are hand-made.
They created their pieces in their workshop where the whole process is mastered and the group’s dynamics are, all through their work, essential. The processes are repeated daily but all are unique. Mounier Bouvard works in a traditional way with respect to people and Nature.
Transparence is really happy to announce a future partnership with Mounier Bouvard on a community project. We will mentor, in partnership with Mounier Bouvard, a community project to introduce individual artisans into the workforce in Casablanca, Morocco. Transparence will commercialise their products.
